A painting a week

This morning didn’t get off to the best start. Gloomy and windy weather combined with a bad school run, followed by mad dash to get to a physio appointment. But when I got back, I made a huge coffee and did a quick half hour painting. Last week I really enjoyed watching the blue tits in my parents-in-laws’ garden. Here’s my attempt…

I feel a bit better now for getting the paints out!

Oh he’s a little cutie! So impressed with you for getting back to painting. Art was my favourite subject for much of my first two decades but I suddenly stopped and now can’t get back to it. It’s hard when in your mind you’re a top-of-the-school-class painter and then when you try again you’re back down at the bottom! Talent helps, but practice goes a long way.

Yep, I’m the same as you! I think that’s why I love blogging so much – it’s making me do all the creative things that would normally go to the bottom of my to do list x
